1:00 church is really killing us. Mainly because at about 12:10 this is what I find around my house...
Grumpy, sleepy boys that I have to WAKE up to take to church on time.
And then they are grumpy all the way to church, all during church, and all night after church until bedtime since they miss their prime nap time.
Today during church I was trying to clean Jaxon's spit-up off his shirt while wrestling Ashton to stay seated on the bench when I turn and see Ashton chewing on my hair. Yes, chewing on my hair. I'm sure we give a good laugh to all the people sitting behind us each week and even if we may not be getting one word out of the entire 3 hours we attend church, at least we make an effort to go right? :)

Oh man! 1:00 church with kids is the worst! Good luck with the rest of the year. If I had some good advice I would give it. Usually by the time it's over we look at each other and say " at least we set a good example for our kids even though we didn't hear anything that was said."

DeleteWe have church at 1pm too and it is rough! Luckily for us Weston will usually fall asleep on the bench during sacrament meeting so he gets his nap in. Good luck! Your boys look so cute in their Sunday outfits!

DeleteThese pictures are so funny! I love that you find so much good in what could be horrible if you let it, such a good example you are friend! We have 1pm church too and I hate it because I don't have nursing friendly church clothes and I'm not doing any bottles just yet or maybe ever. Today was my 2nd time going since I had Walls. We've been hiding out from all the sickies.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you Amy, this time of season is scary to take the kiddos out in. Jax has come down with a pretty bad cough.... again. Its so annoying! Keep hiding out! I sure do need to see him someday though... he just looks so precious :)
